Scheduling HOTS
At a specified time students go to a lab where there is one computer per student and they are taught by a teacher who has been trained in the HOTS program.
During the school day (recommended for high poverty schools)
35 minutes, 4-5 days/week
After School
At least 140 minutes over 2-3 days/week
Students should not:
- be pulled out for any other remedial service (so that they can spend the rest of the day in the classroom/content classes)
- miss math or reading.
- start HOTS later than the 8th grade
